If you are serious about finding a psychic, rather than simply consulting one merely out of a sense of having a new experience, then you’ll want to investigate psychics, as you would any other service provider, to ensure that you find one who is genuine.
There are several “vetting” questions that you should get answers to before you settle on a psycic.
1. Before you even have a reading, you should talk to the psychic in a “free consultation” type of way, and ask her (it usually is a her) how she works, and what kind of readings she gives.
2. Will the psychic allow you to record your reading? Genuine psychics should have no problem with this.
3. Just like any other business, psychics profit by word of mouth. However, rather than just reading their testimonials, see if you can’t visit some of these people, to ensure that they actually do exist. (Faking testimonials is not a new dodge, people across the spectrum of professions have done it).
4. Good things are few and far between. A typical psychic does not want to meet with his or her clients on a monthly basis…that’s a way to increase one’s fees, and should be viewed with suspicion.
5. What type of information is the psychic giving you? If it’s anything that requires you to give more money to the psychic – to alleviate a curse or to prevent a disaster, for example, look upon that with suspicion. (That is not the same thing as a psychic warning you that something unfortunate might happen if you take your usual way home that night, for example!)
6. If you’re talking with a psychic online, be very aware of the cost factor. Depending on how much they charge per minute, the bill could add up to more than you’re able to pay. While it’s certainly better to talk to a live person than a quiet email, best of all is face-to-face.
7. If your psychic tells you the winning numbers in the lottery… let those numbers win before you pay her commensurately! And if those numbers don’t win…that’s pretty much proof that your psychic has little power – don’t be fooled into giving her a second chance!
8. When you talk to a psychiatrist, they need to know all sorts of personal information – they need to be able to get to know you so they can help you. A genuine psychic should need no such crutches.
