God is everywhere. Even if we can’t see Him, through faith and wisdom, we believe that there is something much, much greater than all of us that we will never be able to fully explain. A psychic medium is a critical factor in any paranormal endeavor. They are the gifted ones, for they are in touch with the spirit world. They are seemingly of a semi-divine nature, for the mere reason of being able to channel their energies, and communicate with supernatural beings. Before we delve into its meaning, let us dissect the two words first. ‘Psychic’ is a term that generally pertains to someone with supernatural abilities such us being able to sense things we can’t see, foretell the future, and know the past, to name a few. He is a person with the gift of sensibilities perceptive to the other world.
While “medium” literally pertains to someone acting like a vessel or channel, going back and forth between what we know as earth plane and the spirit world. Simply put, a medium is someone articulating the messages of those residing in the spirit world.
Put together, psychic medium would then mean a person with extra sensory perception who uses himself or his gifts for the sole purpose of communicating information and messages from the other side. Conversely speaking, if a person can communicate with those who have passed on along with angels and spirit guides, he or she is a psychic medium.
A psychic medium and a psychic reader, though usually one and the same person, have two different abilities. The latter can foretell the future while a psychic medium tells you ‘what is’ according to what the spirit guide, angel or loved one of his client is telling him at the moment. A psychic medium is also clairvoyant, simply because he can see spiritual beings that normal people don’t see. And the best thing about this gift is, he not only sees these supernatural beings, a psychic medium can communicate with them too.
A psychic medium may have received this ability through two things: He may have been born with this seeing gift as he inherited it from his parents or grandparents; Or his soul is in the process of being reincarnated.
Not all people who have this ability are good psychic mediums. They may be able to see and communicate with these other worldly beings, but if they can’t control it, or are badly affected by it, then their gift would be for naught. Then there are those who use their gift in cunning ways, like cheating in sweepstakes and the like. We all know that this not a good thing and clearly, they will have their day of karma.
All the same, good psychic mediums offer their gift for the betterment of our society. They help solve mysterious crimes, bring special healing to the terminally sick, enlighten those who have been in the dark for so long, and many more. Their role in our society is one which cannot be discounted. They are God’s special creations and through them, people are helped in greater ways.
