1. Genuine psychics do not ask for too much personal information such as date of birth, star sign, or the city in which you live. Fake psychics can use this information to fabricate a reading that is not genuine. They can use your birth date and star sign to look up your horoscope and simply give you this information. They can also use information such as your age, sex, occupation and place of residence to figure things out about you such as your economic class and general lifestyle which will allow them to make up a reading that sounds reasonable but is not truly based on psychic abilities. Genuine online psychics use their abilities to determine the answers to your questions, not inferences about your life.
2. Genuine online psychics do not make outrageous claims or charge outrageous fees. Legitimate physics are not 100% accurate, and any psychic that tells you differently is probably a scam. Genuine psychics should be up front about their abilities and not make promises that they cannot keep such as guaranteeing that they can bring back a lost love or giving you spells, potions, or hexes. They will also not charge outrageous fees or continue to try to get you to spend more money with additional readings and add-ons.
3. Another indicator of a fake psychic is one who asks you many questions and does not focus on answering your questions. It is easy for a fake psychic to spin your answers back to you to make it seem like they are answering your questions, when all they are doing is using your answers or telling you what you want to hear.
4. Genuine psychics will not claim to be famous or to give readings to famous people if they are not in fact famous. If you or your friends and family have never heard of an online psychic that claims to be famous chances are they are not and this should raise a red flag.
